Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1+ years of experience and a TX PT license, with first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting within a rehabilitation center
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic charting system
- Treats orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary patient populations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- TX PT license required (license required if applicable; pending license accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including joint replacements, sprains, and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Experience with neurologic conditions such as stroke, Parkinson's disease, and spinal cord injury
- Proficiency in modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, and traction
- Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and home exercise program development
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and progress documentation across orthopedic and neurologic caseloads
- Utilizes adaptive devices, assistive equipment, and various therapeutic modalities in treatment
- Provides patient and family education on home exercise programs and safety practices
- Onboarding modules completed onsite during orientation
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Candidates residing in certain nearby counties are not eligible for this contract
- Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved in advance
