Description
American Traveler is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and current EPIC EMR experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy setting
- Day shift schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM-5:30 PM (9-hour days with 1-hour lunch) and Friday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM (4 hours), totaling 40 hours/week
- Daily caseload of 10-12 patients
- Uses EPIC EMR
- May be required to float to other units or campuses within the health system based on qualifications and demonstrated competencies
Requirements
- Current state PT licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience required
- Outpatient experience required
- Rehabilitation hospital experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
- BLS certification required
- Dry Needling and Manual Therapy certifications required
- Hand Therapy and Wound Care certifications preferred
- Lifting and transfer skillset required
- Experience with orthopedic conditions, post-surgical rehabilitation, and geriatric patient populations preferred
- Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, e-stim, TENS, and traction preferred
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation including long/short term goals and plan of care
- Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and manual therapy techniques such as myofascial release and spinal mobilization
- Familiarity with equipment including gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and specialty beds
- Teal scrubs required
- Orientation is held every Monday
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Travelers must be located more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for the full travel rate, with reduced rates available for those 90-99.9 miles away
