Description
American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and required OASIS and HCHB proficiency to cover a multi-county territory in northern Wisconsin.
Details
- Home health setting covering the Rhinelander and Arbor Vitae territories, primarily across Oneida and Vilas Counties
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 13-week contract
- Caseload of approximately 5–7 patients per day with 6 visits expected daily
- Minimum productivity requirement of 30 points per week
- Geriatric patient population
- EMR: HCHB (Homecare Homebase) — experience required
- OASIS experience required for Start of Care (SOC) assessments
- No on-call or weekend requirements (on-call rotation may be discussed during interview)
- Territory coverage of up to 60 miles from the hub/office — flexibility with territory is expected
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
Requirements
- Current, active OT license — license in hand required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent, relevant home health OT experience
- OASIS experience required for SOC completion
- Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Valid driver's license and personal transportation required
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
- Any RTO must be submitted at the time of application
Additional Information
- Provide occupational therapy services to geriatric home health patients across a multi-county territory
- Skills utilized may include ADLs, orthopedic rehab, splinting, edema management, electrical stimulation, TENS, ultrasound, and feeding techniques
- Timely documentation and communication are mandatory
- Orientation is on Mondays; required modules are completed during orientation
- iPad provided for use in the field; personal cell phone is not provided
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Scrubs required in any color; jeans are not permitted
- Travel pairs are accepted; however, each traveler is assigned their own territory and must have independent transportation
- Former permanent employees must have been separated for a minimum of 6 months and receive HR approval before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
