Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist in Dallas, TX requiring 2+ years of experience and RCIS or ARRT(RT) certification.

Details

  • Work in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures
  • Assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and thrombolytic therapy
  • 4x10 hour AM shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • On-call requirements include one day per week, one weekend every 6 weeks, and one call-free week

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular invasive/cath lab setting
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
  • RCIS or ARRT(RT) certification required
  • Texas MRT license required
  • Active Texas license required as applicable to profession
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac/vascular instrumentation and techniques
  • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted

Additional Information

  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields, circulate in procedure rooms, and collect procedural data
  • Monitor patient ECG and vital signs during catheterization, notifying physicians of variances and providing emergency response as needed
  • Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care, monitoring, and education
  • Transport patients to and from the procedural area
  • Document catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis calculations
  • Follow national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff
  • Maintain inventory and stock of procedure room supplies and equipment
  • Scrubs provided
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
  • Two professional references required
