Travel X-Ray Technologist (Radiology Technician)


Facility: Summa Health – Wadsworth-Rittman Campus
Location: 195 Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, OH 44281
Department: Diagnostic Radiology – Wadsworth
Contract Duration: 08/16/2026 – 11/14/2026 (13 Weeks)
Schedule: 5x8 Days | 40 Hours/Week
Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Every Other Weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

 

Position Overview

Summa Health is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist to join the Diagnostic Radiology team at the Wadsworth-Rittman location. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, safety, and accurate documentation in a fast-paced outpatient and hospital environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare, position, and educate patients before imaging procedures to ensure comfort and image quality.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely while maintaining optimal image quality.
  • Verify physician orders and patient information prior to imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure imaging studies are properly entered into the radiology information system.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and utilize proper shielding techniques to minimize patient exposure.
  • Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during imaging procedures as needed.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment.
  • Provide compassionate, professional patient care while ensuring patient dignity and privacy.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide timely diagnostic services. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Registered or Registry Eligible.
  • Current Ohio Radiographer License required.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification required.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and position patients for imaging procedures. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing additional radiology procedures such as selected CT examinations.
  • Knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and hospital computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Important Notes

  • Maximum RTO Allowed: 7 Days (Candidates requesting more than 7 days of RTO will be automatically rejected.)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent X-Ray Tech experience is required.
  • Current Ohio Radiographer License, ARRT Certification (or Registry Eligibility), and CPR/BLS are required.
