Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities
- Work to decrease aspiration risks through evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Deliver speech language pathology and audiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Lead and guide the delivery of speech therapy services within a long term care facility setting
- Ensure all services align with established facility policies, procedures, and care standards for residents
- Minimum of 2 years of Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) experience
- Active Texas state license or a compact license recognized in Texas
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing speech language pathology services
- Prior experience working in a long term care or skilled nursing facility environment
- Experience treating geriatric populations with complex swallowing and communication needs
