Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with a minimum of 1 year of experience for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting within a rehabilitation center
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- 13-week assignment length
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- TX PT license required (pending license accepted); license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Outpatient experience required
- Proficiency in orthopedic assessment and treatment techniques including gait training, extremity mobilization, and manual therapy
- Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, e-stim, TENS, and traction
- Knowledge of neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation, TBI, and spinal cord injury
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary conditions
- Utilizes adaptive devices, assistive equipment, and modalities as part of treatment plans
- Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs and safety/injury prevention
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates residing within 50 miles are not accepted
- Not accepting travel pairs or groups
- Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All RTO must be listed at time of submission with no more than 3 days auto-approved and no RTO during the first week of orientation
- Candidates residing in certain nearby counties are not eligible for this assignment
