Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1+ year of experience and current BLS certification.
Details
- Short-term acute care hospital setting within the PT Outpatient unit
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Occasional Saturday on-call coverage required
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required
- Uses Cerner for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Manual Therapy certification preferred
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Pending state license accepted, but license must be in hand prior to start date
- License required if applicable
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Experience with outpatient orthopedic, pediatric, and neurologic patient populations preferred
- Skills in modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and moist heat preferred
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation across outpatient orthopedic, pediatric, and neurologic caseloads
- Utilizes therapeutic modalities including cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, iontophoresis, moist heat, and ultrasound
- Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Local candidates residing in Indiana are considered local
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
- Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
- Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must complete a designated eligibility reset break before reapplying
