Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) Puyallup, WA. This position involves providing specialized technical support in a Level III Trauma Center with 375 licensed beds. The role focuses on diagnostic and interventional procedures, supporting a busy Cath Lab performing up to 8 cases per day, including complex cardiac interventions such as STEMI, NSTEMI, Impella, IABPs, CTOs, and more.
Job Details
- Position Type: RT(R) (Cath Lab Tech/ CVT)
- Location: Puyallup, WA
- Experience Required: 2 years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (or 1 year if previously traveled)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week; includes weekday call (Monday and Thursday) once per week, and every 6th weekend with EOS until Monday at 0700.
- Additional Information:
- Support on the unit includes coordination with scheduler, charge nurse, lead tech, respiratory therapy, hospitalist, intensivists, cardiologist, RRT, and code team.
- Monitoring experience preferred; familiarity with equipment such as GE Alea C-arm, EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Picom PACS.
- Floating to Auburn Cath Lab (15 minutes away) may be required once per week.
- Orientation begins with NEO training at MHS; remainder of training in the department.
- Scrub color provided; parking is free in the garage.
