Description
American Traveler is hiring a Multi-Modality CT/X-Ray Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift role at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Multi-modality technologist role covering both CT and X-Ray within the Emergency Department and acute care settings
- Adult and pediatric patient population including emergency, trauma, and orthopedic exams
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Possible float to like units within scope
- Uses Siemens equipment and PACS system
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
- ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) registration required
- SC license required if applicable
- SCRQSA, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Community hospital experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with siemens equipment preferred
- Proficiency in 3D rendering, MPR, and ROI measurement preferred
- Experience with coronary and vascular CTA preferred
- Experience starting peripheral IVs and venipuncture
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT and X-ray imaging for abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, and chest studies
- Work within a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level 1 Trauma hospital with 865 staffed beds
- Scrub color requirement: teal blue top with black bottoms
- During hurricane season (June through November), staff may be reassigned to emergency response duties
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted prior to consideration and is subject to facility approval
- Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
