Description

American Traveler is hiring a Multi-Modality CT/X-Ray Technologist for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and dual ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.

Details

• 13-week assignment in the Emergency Department at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
• Multi-modality role covering both CT and X-ray imaging
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires working every 3rd weekend
• Possible float to similar units within scope of practice
• No on-call requirement
• Uses Siemens imaging equipment, PACS, and Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT/X-Ray Technologist
• Must be registered in both Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-C)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• SC license required if applicable
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Community hospital experience required
• Preferred experience in Emergency, Trauma, Pediatric, and Orthopedic imaging across both CT and X-ray modalities
• Preferred experience with Siemens imaging equipment
• Skills in 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and venipuncture

Additional Information

• Provide quality diagnostic imaging in CT and X-ray while delivering excellent patient care
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and ensure their understanding and comfort
• Produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners
• Perform a range of studies including abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest imaging
• May perform specialized procedures such as coronary and vascular CTA
• Facility is a teaching hospital with Magnet designation and Level 1 Trauma status
• Scrub color requirement: teal blue top with black bottoms
• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler's agency
• Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for consideration
• During hurricane season (June through November), travelers may be assigned to emergency response duties
