CT Technologist
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position involves working primarily in the CT department, with opportunities to rotate through various imaging services, including X-ray.
Job Responsibilities:- Perform CT scans on adult and pediatric patients, including outpatient, emergency department, and inpatient cases.
- Conduct X-ray procedures, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, and C-arm usage in the operating room.
- Administer contrast media along with IV starts and assist in biopsies (training provided).
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment efficiently, ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required; refresher training for X-ray will be provided if needed.
- Hold valid certifications including BLS and ARRT (Radiologic Technology) along with a state license.
- Experience with CT studies, including cardiac CTA and general imaging preferred, but not required.
- IV start skills and biopsy experience are highly preferred.
- Comfortable with fluoroscopy and C-arm operations, with willingness to learn on the job.
The technologist will work alongside a supportive team, including a lead tech and other staff, in a facility that averages 25-30 patients per day. The role involves floating between CT and X-ray, with potential assignments in the operating room and at bedside for portable imaging.
Scheduling Details:- Standard shift patterns include 3x12 or 4x10 schedules to accommodate departmental needs.
- Weekend rotation and holiday schedules are shared among staff, typically expecting 50-75% participation in holidays.
- Orientation will be provided, lasting 1 to 1.5 weeks based on the comfort level of the new hire.
- Scrubs: Any solid color scrubs or hospital-issued scrubs are acceptable.
