Interventional Radiology Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and demonstrate proficiency in various interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Perform interventional radiology procedures in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to sterile techniques during all procedures.
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures, including site preparation and monitoring.
- Conduct fluoroscopy and ensure optimal imaging quality.
- Place and remove Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filters in a safe and effective manner.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Completed at least one travel assignment in a similar role.
- Required certifications: ARRT Registered, Maryland State License, and ACLS.
- Preferred certifications: ARRT Vascular Interventional.
- Extensive experience with angioplasty and other special procedures.
- Proficient in Siemens imaging technology and Cerner charting system.
This position offers a 5x8 day shift schedule from 08:00 to 16:30 with potential availability for 4x10 shifts. Orientation takes place every Monday.
On-Call Responsibilities- Participate in rotation for on-call duties, Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM, and on weekends from 9 AM to 2 PM.
- On-call responsibilities are shared among a team of four technologists.
Scrubs will be provided for this role. Candidates should be ready to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.
