Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift position requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT-R and WA state license certification.

Details

• Work in a hospital setting performing CT and X-ray procedures
• Night shift patients are primarily from the emergency department and inpatient floors
• Exams range from newborn X-rays to trauma cases
• Minimum of 2 CT technologists staffed per night shift
• Patient population includes adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and pediatric acute care
• CT procedures include abdomen/pelvis, head and neck, spine and musculoskeletal, chest, and coronary CTA studies
• X-ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
• Uses PACS system
• 4x10 hour night shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Wednesday
• On-call is optional, not required
• Potential to float between sister facilities within the region

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
• Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-CT preferred
• Washington state license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Experience in acute care, emergency department, and pediatric settings required
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
• Experience with abdomen/pelvis CT studies, colorectal studies, and IV pyelogram preferred
• Experience with X-ray procedures across multiple anatomical regions

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Travel experience is not required
• Perform diagnostic CT and X-ray imaging on adult and pediatric patients across acute, emergency, and trauma settings
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities in the region
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
