Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient setting - located in New Mexico. This full-time position involves assessing and treating patients to improve their independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and other functional skills. The role includes developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and utilizing various occupational therapy modalities to support patient recovery and rehabilitation.
Job Details:
- Location: New Mexico
- Schedule: Day shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current New Mexico State License in Occupational Therapy, BLS from AHA, at least 1 year of occupational therapy experience, Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy, and eligibility to work in the United States
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Additional Information: The position involves administering and directing occupational therapy treatments such as ADL activities, splinting, ROM exercises, endurance and strength training, cognitive retraining, coordination, and dexterity training. The therapist must verify physician orders prior to evaluation, perform thorough patient assessments, collaborate on care plans, communicate effectively with patients and families, and report patient progress to physicians. Blocked scheduling is accommodated, and weekend work is required.
