Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a combined inpatient/outpatient role requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS/State License certification.

Details

  • Acute care hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical and surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility
  • Level IV trauma center with 25 total staffed beds
  • Work spans inpatient and outpatient settings, including Acute Care, LTAC, Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Hospital, and SNF
  • Patient ratio of 1:6
  • Schedule is Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts (0800-1700)
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Uses Cerner for hospital charting and PCC for long-term care charting
  • Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block scheduling accommodated

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • State license required if applicable, compact license accepted
  • Non-compact or out-of-state license may take up to 8 weeks to obtain in Montana
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Cerner charting experience preferred
  • Experience across diverse work settings including Acute Care, LTAC, Outpatient Clinic, Rehabilitation Hospital, and SNF preferred
  • Skilled in treating orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, cardiopulmonary, and wound care patient populations preferred
  • Proficiency with modalities such as E-stim, TENS, Ultrasound, and traction preferred
  • Experience with adaptive/assistive devices, gait belts, walkers, and lift equipment preferred

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, documentation, and development of short and long-term care plans
  • Duties involve treatment planning across orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric conditions using various modalities and equipment
  • No RTO permitted within the first two weeks due to orientation, with RTO limited to one week thereafter
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
