Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR unit requiring ARRT (R) certification and 3-4 years of specialty experience.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Self-scheduled call shifts totaling 10 shifts per month
- At least one weekend of call per month covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- One long weekend off per month without needing to request it
Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience required in Interventional Radiology
- ARRT (R) and BLS certifications required
- ARRT (VI) and ACLS certifications preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, biopsy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound, and PACS equipment
- Compact or LA license required in hand upon submission
- License required if applicable
- Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if booked with pending license
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment set up, prepping access sites, room circulating, and scrubbing to maintain sterile field
- Duties include care and maintenance of central venous lines and PICC lines
- Orientation held five days a week
- Candidates may be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring them to remain at the facility during emergency events or serve as part of a relief team
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Facility does not accept local candidates and requires candidates to live more than 65 miles from the facility
- Candidates must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as a travel employee if previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractor
- RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during the interview process
