Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient in Texas responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for a diverse patient population including orthopedics, balance, deconditioned, and pain management cases. The role involves adhering to all standards of Physical Therapy Practice Acts and delivering technical therapy, supplies, and equipment interventions to designated patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; valid Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT) license in the state of Texas (or compact license); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association (AHA)
- Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree in physical therapy highly preferred
- Additional Information: The Physical Therapist will be responsible for gathering pertinent data from patient charts and other care providers, performing independent assessments, diagnosing additional needs, and making clinical judgments regarding tests and interventions. The provider will interpret results, set measurable goals, and monitor patient progress regularly, ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory policies. Clinical responsibilities include identifying appropriate equipment, discussing with patients and their families, and making necessary recommendations.
