Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient in a day shift setting. This full-time role involves assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing physical therapy care for outpatient patients, primarily those with orthopedic, balance, deconditioning, or pain-related needs. The position requires adherence to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act and involves working independently to meet patient care goals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field; Texas Licensed Physical Therapist (or with a compact license); BLS certification (American Heart Association only); 1 year of experience preferred, with a minimum of 0 years required
• Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate of Physical Therapy preferred)
• Responsibilities:
  • Gather relevant data from patient charts and care team discussion; collaborate with physicians as needed
  • Independently evaluate all assigned outpatient patient types
  • Recognize additional needs during assessments and make sound judgments regarding testing and interventions
  • Interpret clinical results and set measurable, realistic, and attainable treatment goals
  • Reassess patient progress regularly according to department and regulatory policies
  • Identify appropriate equipment and discuss options with patients and families to facilitate care
