Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week cardiology assignment requiring at least 1 year of cumulative experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Work within a Cardiology unit performing cardiac catheterization lab procedures
- 13-week contract assignment
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Assist Radiologist/PA with specialized imaging procedures including angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures
Requirements
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) required prior to start
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification (any specialty accepted) required prior to start
- Illinois Emergency Management Agency Radiologic Tech license required in combination with ARRT credential, if applicable
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI preferred
- High school diploma with 1-2 years cumulative experience, OR Associate's/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Additional Information
- Prepare and position patients, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical imaging parameters
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations
- Observe patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as needed
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines at all times
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
- Accepts local candidates
