Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Adult Outpatient Rehab | Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat adult and adolescent patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform comprehensive speech and swallowing assessments, including Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and swallowing safety.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and comply with facility policies and regulatory standards.

Required Documents / Certifications

• Active New Mexico Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience
• Adult outpatient rehabilitation experience (required)
• MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) experience (required)
