Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist specializing in Neurointerventional Radiology is based in Johnson City, New York. This role involves performing a variety of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under physician supervision within neuro IR services, including angiography, embolizations, coilings, and clot retrievals. The position serves healthcare professionals, patients, and regulatory agencies, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and technical support for neuro IR activities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, with on-call responsibilities every other weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in radiologic technology, New York State license as Radiologic Technologist, ARRT(R) certification, BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross), and 4 years of neurointerventional experience.

  • Additional Information: The role requires attention to detail, collaboration, continuous learning, initiative, sound judgment and critical thinking, problem-solving ability, a focus on quality, reliability, and technical expertise. Responsibilities include supporting IR and neuro IR procedures such as discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations; operating advanced imaging equipment; ensuring radiation safety; instructing students and residents; performing quality assurance checks; maintaining supply inventory; reviewing coding procedures; and adhering to hospital policies and confidentiality standards.
