Cath Lab Tech About the Position
The Cath Lab Tech will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care in the catheterization lab. This position involves working 4x10-hour day shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with variability to ensure procedures are fully completed.
Responsibilities- Assist in various cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization lab.
- Work collaboratively with a team, operating multiple labs throughout the day.
- Handle a daily caseload of approximately 20-25 cases, ensuring each procedure is conducted efficiently.
- Participate in on-call duties as required, which includes one weekend shift every seven weeks and weekly evening shifts.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of radiation badges, provided by the agency.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a catheterization lab setting.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT or RCIS (registered or in process).
- Valid South Carolina license (SCRQSA).
- Proficient in coronary diagnostic and intervention procedures, capable of monitoring during procedures.
- Willingness to comply with local radius restrictions and potential changes in on-call requirements based on staffing needs.
- Cath Lab techs will be issued hospital scrubs for shifts.
- Charting is conducted using EPIC.
- Parking facilities are available at no cost upon receiving a parking pass during badge pickup.
- During hurricane season (June to November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response roles if necessary.
