Job Summary:
Peoria, Illinois Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist is needed to support the organization in a full-time capacity. The position involves working in a dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratory environment, providing specialized technical support for cardiac procedures, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; ASRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification (ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting; local address within 50 miles, or eligibility for local rate.
  • Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory with 6 labs; approximately 10 to 15 cases per day.
  • Job Duties: Scrubbing in, monitoring hemodynamics, circulating during cardiac procedures.
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Prior cath lab experience required; Pediatric experience preferred but not mandatory; McKesson cardiology PACS experience is preferred but not required.
  • EMR/Equipment: EPIC, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems.
  • On-call & float requirements: Cardiologists are on-call 24/7; primary charge nurse available from 0600-1530; call response time is 30 minutes; staff are not required to float at this time.
  • Orientation: Typically 3 to 5 days; department-specific orientation.
  • Additional notes: There is a mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their scheduled call shift.
