**Join Our Team as a CAT Scan Tech!** **Job Description** - Are you ready to join a dynamic healthcare team and make a difference? - As a CAT Scan Tech, you will perform CT procedures in a fast-paced environment under the guidance of a Radiologist and CT Supervisor. - Engage in a variety of technical procedures, including interventional cases, CT Angiography, and advanced 3D reconstruction. - Apply your knowledge of ionizing radiation while following the ALARA principle for optimal CT diagnosis. - Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast with utmost care and professionalism. - Maintain top-notch equipment and supplies, ensuring your workspace is clean and organized. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** - Support and promote our mission and values every day! - Acquire scans per radiologist and department protocol. - Inform and guide patients through their exams for maximum cooperation. - Assist radiologists during interventional procedures. - Coordinate daily workload, prioritizing inpatient and emergency department cases with respect to outpatient schedules. - Review IV Contrast Questionnaire with patients receiving IV Contrast. - Document thoroughly in Epic EMR. - Review exams in PACS for completeness before submission to radiologists. - Ensure patient safety is always your priority. - Flexibility to assist with 24/7 department coverage is a must. - Arrive on time, ready to work for every shift. - Stay current with mandatory learning, competencies, and continuing education. - Adhere to dress code policy and maintain HIPAA compliance. - Keep supplies stocked, and perform cleaning to maintain a professional workspace. - Other duties as needed in this exciting role. **Job Requirements** - Strong knowledge of CT Scan software (GE and Siemens preferred). - Familiarity with PACS software (McKesson Change Healthcare preferred). - Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record is a plus. - Expertise in patient preparation, positioning, and scan acquisition according to protocol. - Ability to identify anatomy, pathology, and contrast enhancement on cross-sectional imaging. - Gather relevant patient history to ensure medical necessity. - Consistently work to reduce radiation exposure to patients and staff. - Understand daily QA and warm-up procedures for CT equipment. - Capable of troubleshooting CT Scan equipment issues and contacting service as needed. - Practice ALARA principles at all times. **Education and Experience** - Current ARRT certification is required. - ARRT CT Registry eligibility preferred. - NH Imaging License required. - BLS Certification required. - Previous CT Scan experience is essential. - Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for stated requirements. **Working Conditions/Physical Demands** - Must possess the physical and mental capabilities to perform essential tasks, including a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. - Ability to lift/carry up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds. - Some stress may occur due to the high level of responsibility for quality care. **Americans with Disabilities Statement** - Must be able to perform all essential functions of this position with reasonable accommodation if disabled. **Standard of Business Conduct** - Every employee is required to abide by the Standards of Conduct and report any activities that seem to violate these standards. **Shift Information** - Wednesday and Thursday, 7 PM to 7 AM overnight. - Every other weekend, 7 AM to 7 PM Saturday and Sunday. **Minimum Years of Experience** - 3 years. **Certifications / Requirements** - BLS/BCLS. - ARRT(CT). **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
