Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist requiring ARRT Radiography or NMTCB certification, ARRT CT certification, and an IEMA Radiography License.
Details
- Work in the CT Scan department within a hospital radiology setting
- Perform computerized axial tomography procedures utilizing various imaging equipment and contrast material
- Night shift schedule of 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Weekend shifts required
- Uses EPIC charting system
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in a related field or Certificate in Radiologic Technology required
- IEMA Radiography License required, if applicable
- Radiography (R)(ARRT) certification or Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification (NMTCB) required
- Computed Tomography (CT)(ARRT) certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Demonstrated technical expertise in radiology
- Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
- EPIC charting experience required
Additional Information
- Perform CT procedures and assigned invasive procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams according to accrediting body and manufacturer guidelines and department protocols
- Independently perform multiplanar reformats and/or 3D rendered images
- Review cases with radiologist when appropriate and review labs and patient history to determine correct exam
- Administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast as appropriate and recognize and respond to adverse or allergic reactions
- Screen patients for possibility of pregnancy and perform pregnancy testing when applicable
- Ensure patient, visitor, and environmental safety and report safety events immediately, including near misses
- Assist in instructing students and new staff as necessary
- May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator in their absence
- May be required to perform duties of other modalities within the department for which proper licensure is held
- Meet department productivity benchmarks and assist other areas during downtimes
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
