Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in a skilled nursing facility setting located in Missouri. This role involves providing rehabilitation services to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The OTA will utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions and work closely with the healthcare team to deliver skilled, necessary treatment interventions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapist Assistant; a minimum of 1 year of OTA experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF); eligible for licensure in Missouri.
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include administering procedures such as activities of daily living (ADL) retraining, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices. The OTA assesses patient progress, updates the supervising Occupational Therapist, documents all services in compliance with regulatory standards, and participates in team meetings. Collaboration with supervising Occupational Therapist and support of students under guidance are essential. Adherence to NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) code of conduct, and state practice acts is required. Active licensure in Missouri is necessary.
