Job Summary:
CT Technologist position available in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role involves performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily focused on computed tomography (CT), with additional X-ray responsibilities. The position requires independent judgment, critical thinking, and proficiency in operating advanced imaging equipment. The technologist will support patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies, ensuring safety, confidentiality, and high-quality imaging services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Current computed tomography (CT) experience of at least 2 years
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in CT REQUIRED
- Massachusetts Radiology license REQUIRED
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Ability to function independently and efficiently in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
- Must have own vehicle for transportation
- No residence within 50 miles of the facility
- Perm address must be included in traveler profile upon upload
- All required documentation, including supervisory signed reference from within the past two years, must be submitted
- Any RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included in the profile; scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission
- Additional Information:
- Perform primary diagnostic radiology and CT tasks, including intravenous (IV) insertions and injections
- Demonstrate proper operation and troubleshooting of CR, DR, CT, PACS, HIS, and RIS systems
- Complete mandated annual education on bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
- Maintain clinical competencies as required
- Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and Tiger Text format are essential
- On-call availability possible, with multipliers if applicable, and holidays may be required
- No 10 or 12-hour shift requests will be considered for this need
