Position Details
Position: Mammography Technologist / Radiologic Technologist
Shift: Days, 3×12 hours
Schedule: Friday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract: 13 Weeks
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- OBMI registration
- ARRT-registered Mammography Technologist
- BLS certification
- Experience: None required
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience
- CRASE training required if the assignment extends beyond 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography procedures.
- Perform mammography procedures and related imaging techniques.
- Prepare and position patients for examinations.
- Operate radiography and mammography equipment.
- Select appropriate exposure factors while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and proper identification.
- Assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.
- Follow aseptic techniques when required.
- Administer contrast media/medications when permitted by state law and facility policy.
- Provide appropriate physical and emotional support to patients.
- Float to other qualified departments when required.
Important
The main specialty is Mammography, and the candidate must specifically have ARRT Mammography registration + OBMI + BLS.
