Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Certified Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist for a night shift position in Santa Cruz, California. This role involves performing advanced CT scans in an acute care setting, supporting ER and general patient populations, and working with Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed scanners. The candidate will be responsible for executing imaging procedures with proficiency and adhering to clinical standards to ensure quality patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour evening shifts, with some occasional night shifts included in rotation, working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license, ARRT-CT certification, ARRT-R certification, BLS certification, Fluoroscopy certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in radiology or CT technology.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Siemens Sensation 64 and GE LightSpeed scanners, familiarity with Cerner and McKesson PACS charting systems, experience with ER and general CT procedures, and ability to handle high workflow volumes during busy evening hours.
- Additional Information: The position involves performing scans with fluoroscopy ratios of 10-20 depending on shift needs. Orientation will be provided over 3-4 shifts with a focus on floor-specific procedures. The role also includes coverage for virtual colonography, gated procedures, and standard CT patient care. The organization may cancel up to four shifts in a 13-week period or three shifts for shorter assignments.
