Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Conduct 60-minute evaluation and treatment sessions in an outpatient setting
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Design functional treatment programs that support effective return to community activities and progress patients toward discharge within an established length of stay
- Supervise and mentor students as assigned, providing a positive learning environment with appropriate oversight, learning objectives, and evaluations
- Participate in professional development activities and apply learned information to meet organizational objectives
- Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in good standing in the state of California
- Outpatient physical therapy experience required; new graduates will not be considered
- Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific State Practice Act and applicable regulatory requirements
- Ability to complete documentation and ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
- Experience participating in student clinical education programs
- Demonstrated involvement in continuing education, professional organizations, or self-directed professional growth activities
