Job Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist position is located in the California area. This role involves providing scrub assistance during interventional procedures and performing float duties as assigned. The technologist will operate angiography equipment, set exposure parameters practicing ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable), prepare patients and equipment for procedures, and perform post-processing of images to ensure timely delivery to the PACS system. The role requires a basic understanding of imaging techniques and proficiency in ancillary equipment setup and operation.
Job Details:
- Position: Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Location: Palo Alto, California
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support), RTF (California State Fluoroscopic Permit; new hires must obtain within three months of hire), and CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) by the State of California Department of Health Services. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intraoperative imaging procedures, familiarity with ancillary equipment such as IVUS, US, EKOS, JETI, ANGIO JET, and proficiency in image post-processing techniques.
- Additional Information: The candidate will be responsible for preparing for procedures, setting imaging protocols, ensuring equipment readiness, verifying patient demographics, completing documentation in Qsight and EPIC accurately and promptly, and performing routine cleaning of procedural areas and equipment.
