Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist position is based in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves assisting with complex structural and percutaneous procedures in a busy, high-volume cardiac lab. The technologist will be responsible for scrub and manipulate fluoroscopy equipment, operate specialized cardiac devices, and support high-risk interventions such as PCI, CTO, TAVR, and structural procedures. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient care and procedural precision.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shifts; call 2-3 weeknights and 1 full weekend per month.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, with experience in both structural and PCI procedures. Valid certifications including ACLS (American Heart Association), BLS (American Heart Association), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), and Nebraska state radiology license are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk PCI, CTO, TAVR, Mitral Clip, and structural cardiac procedures. Knowledge of EPIC charting system and Philips Azurion imaging equipment is preferred.
- Additional Information: The laboratory operates in a Level 1 trauma, acute care setting with 7 labs and 500 beds. The team comprises a 3-man nurse-to-patient ratio per room. Orientation includes 1.5 weeks of training with modules and hands-on practice. The unit is very busy, with efforts underway to balance team workloads and improve work flow.
