Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neuro IR and scrub experience for a 13-week travel assignment in New Orleans.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit performing special procedures
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- Uses Epic charting system
- Uses GE Innova IGS, Siemens, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT equipment
- Performs vascular, neurological, genitourinary, and abdominal/pelvic IR procedures including angiography, embolization, stent placement, and biopsies
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology, or 1 year with neuro IR and scrub experience
- ARRT-R and BLS required; ARRT-VI and ACLS preferred
- Neuro IR and scrub experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Proficiency with vascular access, central line care, PICC lines, and vascular closure devices
- Skilled in procedural responsibilities including EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, and equipment setup
- Must apply for Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if not already licensed
- License required if applicable
- Compact or LA license required at time of submission
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include acting as room circulator, scrub technician, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
- May be assigned to an emergency team requiring extended facility stay during emergency events
- Orientation held five days a week
- Two Manager/Supervisor references (not Charge RNs) required to obtain clearance to start contract
- Up-to-date NURSYS report required with profile
- Must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered
- RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year separation from the facility before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
