Description
American Traveler is looking for an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of outpatient experience for a 13-week day shift assignment.
Details
- Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Treats patients across orthopedic and neurologic populations, including post-op joint and spine cases, stroke rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury
Requirements
- AZ PT license required before start date, with proof of pending licensure accepted; license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with any charting system required
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
- Knowledge of body mechanics and orthopedic and neurologic assessment techniques
Additional Information
- Evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians or via direct access
- Supervise physical therapy assistants and PT technicians in delivering plans of care
- Perform specialized services such as work injury evaluations, Work Hardening or Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic or job analysis assessments
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment available on-site
- Communicate patient progress regularly with referring physicians and rehab nurses
- Open to first-time travelers
