Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and EPIC charting proficiency.
Details
- Community hospital setting within the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP department
- Work settings include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and electrophysiology (EP) lab
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- Weekend and overnight call rotation as needed
- No floating required
- Expected to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) or 1 of 2 if contract spans fewer holidays
- Uses Philips fluoroscopy equipment and PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
- Current ACLS and BLS certification required; CCI RCIS preferred
- License required if applicable
- EPIC charting experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile technique
- Experience with diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, IABP, Impella insertion, and pacemaker/AICD procedures
- Vascular closure system experience (Perclose, StarClose) preferred
- Experience with thrombolysis/thrombectomy and upper/lower extremity angiography preferred

- May provide care to COVID-positive patients
- Facility maintains a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius may be considered
- Responsibilities include equipment setup and maintenance, supply stocking, sterile field maintenance, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Role includes scrub and circulator duties for cath lab and EP procedures
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
