Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient) in the specialty of Acute Care is sought for a healthcare organization located in Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing speech therapy services within an acute rehabilitation department for adult and geriatric patient populations. The role is available starting on 09/07/2026, with shift hours primarily during daytime schedules.
Job Details
- Position: Speech Language Pathologist (Inpatient) in the specialty of Speech Language Pathologist Inpatient
- Location: Farmington, New Mexico
- Shift: Days, 10 hours per shift
- Schedule: 40 hours per week minimum, with shifts scheduled for days, Thursday through Sunday, total of 4 days per week
- Projected Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Required Qualifications: NM State Speech-Language Pathologist License, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Basic Life Support (BLS), 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Additional Information: Hours are to be determined with unpaid 30-minute lunch break from 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Days of the week may vary. The inpatient rehabilitation department provides services 7 days a week, with an estimated patient ratio of 8-12 patients per day depending on referrals and hours worked. Familiarity with Cerner electronic health record system is preferred.
- Unit Profile: The rehabilitation department requires proficiency in Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), with FEES preferred.
