Physical Therapist (PT)
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in treating a variety of patient types, with a focus on adults and occasional school-aged children. This position involves working primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing fall risks, and addressing mobility issues.
Unit Information- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year preferred, with home health experience valued but not required.
- First-time Travelers: Welcomed, provided they have the right experience.
- Adults with post-ortho surgeries
- Patients recovering from various surgical procedures
- Individuals at risk of falls
- Patients experiencing deconditioning
- Mobility issues and rehabilitation needs
- Current BLS certification
- Valid state license in Maine
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy
- Valid driver’s license, reliable car, and auto insurance
The typical patient load is between 20 to 25 patients per physical therapist.
Department Support- Scheduler available to assist with scheduling needs
- Leadership accessible via phone for support
- Physical Therapy leads available for additional guidance
- EMR System: Netsmart
This role may involve travel to cover Aroostook County, primarily around Presque Isle, with potential travel distances of 50 to 100 miles per day.
OrientationNew hires can expect 1-2 weeks of orientation to familiarize themselves with systems and protocols.
Scheduling- Weekend Rotation: Required to work one weekend every 4-6 weeks (Saturday and Sunday)
- Holiday Expectations: Available to work on all holidays, including major and minor holidays, with a requirement to cover 50% of holidays during the contract
- Shift Times: Primary shift from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, with the option for a 4-day, 10-hour shift arrangement considered
Scrub attire is business casual or any solid-colored scrubs.
