Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (occasional Saturdays)
Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,050
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week travel assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. This opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse patient population while providing high-quality speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy services.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve functional goals and improve quality of life.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, progress, and home exercise programs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning.
Assignment Details
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
- Floating Requirements: May float to Med/Surg and inpatient therapy units as needed
- Patient Capacity: 20-bed unit
- EMR System: Epic
- Positions Available: 1
- Reason for Opening: Replacement of permanent staff
Qualifications
- Active Oklahoma Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
- Current BLS certification, if required
- Previous rehabilitation, inpatient, or acute care experience preferred, but all experience levels will be considered
- Strong communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
Schedule & Environment
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Occasional Saturday coverage may be required
- Collaborative interdisciplinary rehabilitation team environment
