Key Responsibilities- Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and goals to maximize functional outcomes
- Deliver therapy services to inpatient skilled nursing patients as well as outpatient cases within the same facility
- Implement treatment programs and reassess treatment results on an ongoing basis
- Actively participate in discharge planning as part of an interdisciplinary team approach
- Maintain standards of professional and ethical practice in accordance with the State of Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy
- May be asked to precept other staff as needed by the unit
- Active Texas state occupational therapy license and national OT licensure/certification
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in a skilled nursing or acute care setting
- Some outpatient occupational therapy experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to meet a productivity standard of 24 units in an 8-hour day
- Experience treating patients with general SNF diagnoses including wounds, orthopedic, neurological, and debility conditions
- Comfort working in a critical access hospital environment with an average patient length of stay of approximately 14 days
- Work within a 25-bed critical access hospital serving a diverse patient population across both inpatient skilled nursing and outpatient settings under a single facility license
- Structured onboarding includes assigned learning modules, onsite education, and shadowing for site and documentation orientation
