Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical/surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility
- Level IV trauma center with 25 staffed beds
- Both inpatient and outpatient Physical Therapy responsibilities
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends required
- No on-call requirements
- May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
- Uses Cerner charting system for hospital documentation and PCC for LTC
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- State License required if applicable; compact license accepted
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and wound care patient populations
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across acute care and outpatient settings
- Treats a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and stroke/TBI recovery
- Utilizes modalities such as e-stim, TENS, ultrasound, traction, and hydrotherapy
- Any scrub color accepted per facility dress code policy

- No RTO permitted during first two weeks due to orientation; RTO limited to one week thereafter
