Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab position requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility
- Level IV trauma center with 25 total staffed beds
- Work across both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- No weekend shifts required
- No on-call requirements
- Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
- Uses Cerner charting system in the hospital and PCC in the long-term care setting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- State license required if applicable; compact license accepted
- Prior travel experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Pending license not accepted
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include treatment across orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric patient populations
- Perform evaluations, reassessments, and documentation including long and short-term goals and plans of care
- Utilize various modalities including E-stim, ultrasound, TENS, hydrotherapy, and traction
- Work with equipment such as crutches, walkers, gait belts, sliding boards, and sit-to-stand lifts
- Scrub color is flexible per facility dress code policy
- Free parking and free housing available
- First-time travelers not accepted for this position
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule
- No RTO permitted within the first two weeks due to orientation; RTO limited to one week for the remainder of the assignment
