Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with Canon/Toshiba CT scanner experience for a community hospital setting requiring ARRT and BLS certification.
Details
- Community hospital setting including outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER work areas
- CT Tech unit with 2 procedure rooms
- Daily caseload of approximately 50 patients
- 1:1 patient ratio
- CT procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTAs
- Evening shift (5x8 hours) Wednesday and Thursday 3p-11p, and overnight shift Friday-Sunday 10:30p-6:30a
- Every weekend required, working every 3rd weekend
- No call requirements
- No block scheduling
- Uses PACS, Philips, and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment
- Epic/Excellian charting system required
- May float within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
Requirements
- ARRT-R and BLS certification required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in CT specialty
- Canon CT system experience required
- PACS experience required
- IV start experience preferred
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- Proficiency in image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
- Experience with adult and pediatric acute care and outpatient populations
- 1 supervisor reference required
Additional Information
- Will consider first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted for radiology positions
- Non-local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days during the assignment
- Perform CT scans across a wide range of studies including special procedures such as biopsies, CTA, coronary CTA, and radiation therapy planning depending on preferred skill set
