Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an evening/night shift community hospital assignment requiring 1+ year of CT experience and Canon/Toshiba scanner proficiency.
Details
- Community hospital setting supporting outpatient, inpatient, OR, and ER patients
- CT Tech unit with 2 procedure rooms
- Average daily caseload of 50 studies
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Performs CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and CTAs
- Shift schedule includes Wednesday and Thursday 3:00 PM-11:00 PM and Friday-Sunday 10:30 PM-6:30 AM
- Every weekend work required, working every 3rd weekend
- No call requirements
- No block scheduling available
- May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Uses PACS system and Canon/Toshiba CT scanner
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in CT required
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Canon CT system experience required
- PACS experience required
- IV start experience preferred
- Toshiba equipment experience preferred
- Epic/Excellian charting experience required
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, OR, ER, and community hospital settings required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform CT imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal regions including CTA studies
- Responsible for image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Administer contrast media and perform peripheral IV starts and venipuncture as needed
- Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and radiation safety guidelines
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Locals accepted for this radiology position
- Returning staff must have a 3-month gap since last worked as perm staff or per diem
- RTO ideally no more than 5 days
