Job Summary:
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) imaging in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing a variety of diagnostic CT procedures utilizing established scan protocols and complex imaging equipment. The position requires a high level of technical expertise, patient interaction, and adherence to departmental protocols to ensure accurate and efficient imaging services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts with 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
- CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the primary registry date or date of hire if already obtained.
- Two years of experience in the field.
- Certifications include ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Licenses include PA License (PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73).
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with contrast administration, venipuncture, and complex imaging procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and technical proficiency.
- Additional Information:
- Performs venipuncture and uses power injectors according to departmental and manufacturer protocols.
- Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast media following physician orders, with prior assessment of patient risk factors.
- Ensures proper patient identification, reviews history, and applies departmental protocols for optimal imaging results.
- Properly documents patient history, exams, and charges in electronic systems.
- Operates complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, and reconstruction of images, and completes procedures according to protocol.
- Demonstrates adherence to system-wide competencies and behaviors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
