Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and a WA state license (if applicable).
Details
- Inpatient acute care therapy at a critical access, rural hospital with 23 staff beds
- Unit: PT Acute Care Hospital
- Day shift, 3x8 hours (8:00 AM-4:00 PM)
- 0.6 FTE position (~24 hours/week), typically Monday-Friday with some flexibility for Tuesday-Friday scheduling
- Patient ratio of 1:5-10
- May float between units based on facility need
- May float to other Providence facilities in Colville and Spokane based on need and therapist ability
- No on-call, weekend, or block schedule requirements
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification required
- WA state license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Acute care work setting experience required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and discharge planning for inpatient acute care patients
- Works with patient populations including cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric conditions
- Utilizes adaptive devices, assistive devices, and equipment such as gait belts, walkers, and lifts as part of patient care
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Scrubs of any color are accepted
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a lower bill rate
- Open to first-time travelers
