Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and at least one completed travel assignment for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology setting.
Details
- Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (4x10s may be considered)
- On-call required Mon-Fri 4pm-9pm and Sat/Sun 9am-2pm, rotating among 4 techs
- Uses Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
- Charting done in Cerner
Requirements
- ARRT R certification required, ARRT VI preferred
- ACLS certification required
- MD State License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of IR experience within the last 7 years required
- At least one completed travel assignment required
- Community hospital experience required
- Skilled in angioplasty, IVC filter placement and removal, prepping access sites, and maintaining sterile field
- Proficient in sterile technique and infection control practices
Additional Information
- Perform interventional radiology and special procedures including angioplasty and IVC filter placement/removal
- Prep patient access sites and maintain sterile field during procedures
- Scrubs are provided
- Orientation occurs every Monday
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Candidates with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
