Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and prior travel assignment experience for a cardiac interventional radiology unit.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a community hospital setting
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 4x10 hour shifts also possible
- On-call required Monday-Friday 4 PM-9 PM and Saturday/Sunday 9 AM-2 PM, rotating among 4 technologists
- Uses Siemens fluoroscopy equipment
- Charting is done in Cerner
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of recent IR technologist experience within the last 7 years
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
- ACLS certification required
- MD state license or compact license required; license required if applicable
- Community hospital experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Skilled in special procedures including angioplasty, IVC filter placement and removal, and fluoroscopy
- Proficient in prepping access sites and maintaining sterile technique while scrubbed in
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site prep, maintaining sterile fields, and serving as room circulator as needed
- Follows isolation precautions, PPE protocols, and infection control standards
- Scrubs are provided
- Orientation occurs every Monday
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
