Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Inpatient Rehab position requiring a CA PT License and 2+ years of experience.
Details
- Hospital setting with focus on acute care, inpatient rehab (ARU), and outpatient rehab
- Ability to float between inpatient, ARU, and outpatient units as needed
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Schedule includes Friday through Tuesday
- Epic experience preferred for charting
Requirements
- CA Physical Therapist License required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Experience in acute care, outpatient clinic, pediatrics, and rehabilitation hospital settings preferred
- Hand Therapy, Lymphedema, Manual Therapy, PTA, Wound Care, and Dry Needling certifications preferred
- Experience with a wide range of patient populations including orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, pediatric, and geriatric conditions preferred
- Proficiency with therapeutic modalities such as E-stim, Ultrasound, TENS, and traction preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized rehabilitative treatment programs
- Completes patient evaluations, develops and updates Plans of Care, and documents treatment progress
- Coordinates care effectively with interdisciplinary team members
- Provides clinical supervision to PT assistants and aides
- Serves as clinical instructor for assigned students
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment and properly disinfects equipment after use
- Participates in quality improvement and interdisciplinary initiatives
- Maintains strict confidentiality of patient health information in compliance with regulations
- Accepts local candidates at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO is 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
