Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) is needed in Dover Foxcroft, Maine. This position involves providing outpatient physical therapy services in an outpatient setting with occasional coverage for inpatient or emergency department consultations. The role offers a flexible schedule aligned with outpatient care needs, primarily focusing on adult and school-aged patient populations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 0800-1630 (Monday to Friday), with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Physical Therapy, Maine State Licensure, BLS certification, at least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience, and residency or work authorization in the United States.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with manual therapy, exercise science, patient education, and adaptive equipment training; outpatient experience; ability to support within a department staffed with Licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.
  • Support within Department: Currently staffed with three licensed Physical Therapists and available Physical Therapist Assistants. Supervisor support available on-site weekdays.
  • Technology/Equipment: Use of Cerner electronic medical record system. Flexibility for rare inpatient coverage within the same building.
  • Additional Information: The outpatient department performs evaluations and treatments, typically seeing 8-10 patients daily. Dress code is business casual or scrubs, and parking is free. The role involves treating mainly adult and school-aged patients with various post-surgical, neurological, work-related injuries, and orthopedic conditions.
