Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist for a position in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves supporting cardiac, pulmonary, and vascular procedures within a busy cath lab environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cardiac catheterization procedures and be comfortable monitoring patients, scrubbing in, and setting up for procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in cardiac cath lab procedures, current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Registered Radiologic Technologist), and valid state license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EMR systems (Cerner preferred), familiarity with hemodynamic systems (McKesson preferred), and comfort monitoring patients during procedures.
- Technology/Equipment: Cath lab with Philips and GE systems, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and digital hemodynamic equipment.
- Orientation: 2-3 days of unit and facility orientation.
- Support within the Department: Managed by the department manager, with 2 cardiologists, 1 vascular surgeon, 4 techs, and 4 nurses plus charge staff.
- Floating: No floating required.
- On-call and Holiday Expectations: Expectation to participate in a six-week rotating schedule with 16-18 on-call shifts, including weekends, and potential holiday on-call. Shifts typically run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Other notes: Scrub color provided; free parking available.
