General Information
- CT Rooms: 2
- X-ray Room: 1 and 2 portable machines
Experience: 3 years
First-time traveler: Yes, 3 more years of experience in acute care setting
- This position will be interchanging between X-ray and CT. The traveler is REQUIRED to have both skills.
- Must be a strong candidate, will be working independently at night without other support
Average scans per day: 45
Patient Types:
- Inpatient, ED
- CT: strokes, traumas, abdominal, COVID, CTA, angiography, contrast/non-contrast, vascular
- X-Ray: Fluoroscopy, OR, all body parts (chest, abdominal, hand, joint, extremity)
- No outpatient, since it is night shift
Covid & PPE:
- Adequate PPE
- N95s
- PAPR available
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ARRT
- WI license
Skills required
- CT: IV skills (preferred), power injection, Client or Toshiba experience, CTA experience, trauma/stroke experience
- X-Ray: General X-ray, Fuji or Cannon experience, fluoroscopy
Support on the Unit:
- Supervisor of Imaging
- Director Imaging, Cardiovascular Service Line
Charting System/Equipment:
- EPIC (required)
- McKesson PACS
- Client and Toshiba CT Scan
- Fuji (portable) and Cannon X-Ray
Floating: Between X-Ray and CAT scan based on needs
Orientation:
- 4 days of orientation
- 1 st day: Meet with supervisor
- 2 nd -4 th day: Training with X-Ray and CT techs
Scheduling:
- Must be available to work 7 days a week
- Plugged into the schedule where the greatest needs are
- 6-week schedule, receive 4 weeks in advance
- Weekend rotation: Based on needs
- RTO: Email to Director of Imaging and Cardiovascular Service Line, Trudy Hassler
- On-Call: Based on needs
- Response Time: 30 minutes
- Holiday Expectations: 1
