Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, ideal for candidates with ARRT (R) certification and KBMIRT Radiography License.
Details
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- 1st shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Call requirement includes 1-2 weekday call nights per week, plus 2 Fridays and 2 weekends (Sat/Sun) per 8-week schedule period
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Radiology or related field required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required
- Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) Radiography License required if applicable
- RCIS certification not accepted in lieu of required credentials
- 2-3 years of experience in a busy cath lab highly preferred though no experience is required
Additional Information
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures including thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart interventions
- Assist with implantation of permanent pacemakers and ICDs
- Perform arterial/venous sheath removals and closure device management
- Utilize hemodynamic monitoring and IABP/Impella support devices
- Manage procedural complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, and cardiac tamponade
- Maintain aseptic technique and radiation safety practices, including ALARA principles
- Perform and record quality control checks on equipment
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients throughout procedures
- Work collaboratively within a team to support quality patient care and departmental workflow
