Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Cardiac Cath Lab, ideal for candidates with ARRT (R) certification and KBMIRT Radiography License.

Details

  • Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • 1st shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
  • Call requirement includes 1-2 weekday call nights per week, plus 2 Fridays and 2 weekends (Sat/Sun) per 8-week schedule period

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Radiology or related field required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT Radiography (R) Certification required
  • Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT) Radiography License required if applicable
  • RCIS certification not accepted in lieu of required credentials
  • 2-3 years of experience in a busy cath lab highly preferred though no experience is required

Additional Information

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures including thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart interventions
  • Assist with implantation of permanent pacemakers and ICDs
  • Perform arterial/venous sheath removals and closure device management
  • Utilize hemodynamic monitoring and IABP/Impella support devices
  • Manage procedural complications such as air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis, and cardiac tamponade
  • Maintain aseptic technique and radiation safety practices, including ALARA principles
  • Perform and record quality control checks on equipment
  • Provide physical and psychological support to patients throughout procedures
  • Work collaboratively within a team to support quality patient care and departmental workflow
