Job Summary:
The CT Technologist role is based in Hackensack, New Jersey. The position involves performing advanced computerized tomography procedures, producing detailed sectional and three-dimensional images, and assisting with interventional and therapeutic imaging techniques. This role requires technical expertise, patient safety awareness, and effective communication to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, Sun-Thursday 4pm-12:30am, Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program; High School diploma or equivalent; NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Diagnostic Radiography License; ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R))) license required; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; 0.0 years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning; Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware; Thorough knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS); Maintains Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits; Achieving ARRT (CT) certification within 12 months of hire; Knowledge of Epic and Hospital Information System/ Radiology Information System (HIS/RIS) systems
- Additional Information: This role involves preparing patients for scanning, administering contrast media, monitoring for adverse reactions, and providing patient education. The position includes scheduled shifts with potential overtime, on-call assignments, and responsibilities towards patient safety and care delivery.
